BETHEL ASSINGMENT METHODS

The principle is that if the assignment requirement for a particular course is only one, you should submit one standard essay, if the subject requires two essays; the first one will be the standard Essay while the subsequent one follows the method below.

Assignment 1 must be a written essay on the topic given to you personally and must be typed and written in compliance with the Bethel standard which you must have been taught.

Assignment 2 is a ten minutes presentation on another topic given to you personally

Assignment 3 is a test which is in exam style on any topic you pick in the test hall

Assignment 4 is sharing the views of ten different scholars on a topic given to you personally

Assignment 5 requires you to search about the latest information on internet on the topic given to you personally. This does not require the essay standard but simply to encourage in the knowledge of information technology in order to broaden students’ international skills.

Assignment 6 is Book Review, Book Critique or a test like No.3 or writing. This depends on the lecturer’s choice.

All essays, presentations and tests will be graded A-D as in essays. Initially, we did not charge penalty for failed presentations and essays, we used to read and re-read essays as many times as the candidate wants so to upgrading But we later realized that some students sometimes simply come to waste lecturers’ time with nonsensical presentations. Therefore, from now henceforth (2013/2014 academic year), all failed presentations and tests attract N100 penalty only
